I offer online counselling in a safe, confidential space where you can explore whatevers on your mind. Whether you're feeling anxious, stuck, low in self-esteem or dealing with loss or relationship difficulties, Ill work at your pace, without judgment. I believe the relationship is key when you feel truly heard and understood, change becomes possible. You dont need to have the answers; just a willingness to begin.
About me and my practice
I have had an interest in mental health and emotional well-being for most of my working life. When I left school, I worked in factories as a cabinet-maker for several years before a series of life experiences and misadventures led me to working in a soup kitchen, supporting people struggling with homelessness, substance misuse, and alcoholism, alongside varying mental health difficulties.

I also worked as a window cleaner for a time, and on a factory line packing selection boxes. I then moved into roles as a support worker and therapist in a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, and later supported young people in a secondary school pastoral care team while training as a qualified counsellor.
I understand that counselling can feel challenging and even scary at times. It may involve talking about things youve never spoken about before your childhood, your relationships, and even your sex life. These conversations can be uncomfortable, but they are often vital parts of your journey towards healing and self-understanding. Thats why I place great importance on confidentiality, safety, and trust in our sessions.
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or simply feeling stuck in life, I offer a non-judgemental, person-centred approach that meets you where you are.
Experience
I'm a qualified person-centred counsellor, which means I work with whatever you bring to the session, at your pace and in your own way. Over time, Ive also integrated elements from other approaches like CBT and solution-focused therapy. This might include gentle tasks to try between sessions, helping you explore patterns or beliefs that may no longer be serving you.
Ive supported people across a wide range of settings including family support services, schools, addiction recovery, and mental health organisations. I aim to offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported wherever you are in your life right now.
